PROS & CONS

What are the best aspects of this product?

Created by The Document Foundation, it's an open-source software solution developed in Python, Java, and C++. It's an office suite with apps that we use to develop spreadsheets, presentations, documents, and others with. It's available for Windows, macOS, and GNU / Linux Distribution and can be executed in x86 or x64 architecture.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

One of the major drawbacks in using LibreOffice is that it was first launched in 2010 and the vendor does not have dedicated support available. Pretty much all you can get is a response from the community.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

The major benefit for using this office suite is that your company won't have to spend a dime to get your hands on a professional software package. The professionals themselves have been using LibreOffice so it's safe to say that it is a stable enough product that can be relied upon. It also supports numerous languages and more are being added for every major update.
