PROS & CONS

What are the best aspects of this product?

This is an office suite that you can avail for free. It's also competitive enough to become a good alternate for paid solutions. It has apps for creating and editing documents, presentations, spreadsheets, and database. One of its biggest edge is the compatibility it has to many other office solution that allows us to open and modify files from them without making too much change in the information within. The apps included in this office suite allows us to create documents, from simple ones like a cover letter to an entire thesis ready for publishing. There are apps for simplifying calculations and accounting as well. And since LibreOffice uses an open license, we can use this in our company without paying for anything. Meanwhile, the advanced users will enjoy the support for OpenCL and VBA too.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

I think the entire interface must undergo a thorough overhaul. It's pretty poor at this state.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

LibreOffice enables me to do basic tasks both on my company computer and my private one.
