PROS & CONS

What are the best aspects of this product?

First launched as a community-based project, LibreOffice has gone a long way and has now become a viable contender as a top editing tool for documents. It's 100% free and offers lots of amazing fonts. It's also capable of saving in various formats and has good charts you can use. And although this software is at its best when running on Linux, it works with other operating systems.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

There's no mail editing client feature and visually, it's not the best. Also, during the crashes that occur at times, your file isn't saved. Compared to MS Office, it lacks a lot of functionalities, but since it's free, there's nothing to complain about.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

It's an amazing free office solution that has a lot of basic things in common with MS Office. Though it's not equipped with an appealing interface, it's capable of handling data efficiently. It got all the basic functionalities needed for working with excel sheets and text docs. Also, it's capable of making a good and engaging presentation. We have this installed on all our units that don't have high specs.
