PROS & CONS

What are the best aspects of this product?

very simple to use. End user friendly. Easy for staff.
When it works it works, every once in a while they seem to make a change that creates havoc on your business then it takes them forever to fix it.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

Our back end is reporting zero sales, all receipts gone, etc. for the last 2 days. Front Line support only offers to escalate, we are basically dead in the water. Been calling support since it occurred.
Advance reporting is fairly basic.
API - I had asked about limitations on the API they offer and it took forever to get a response. They did tell me to ask in the forums as they do not talk about it via support any longer. ( that was enough I guess to make me back away from trying to do any integrations with their integration partners - I am not sure why anyone would be an integration partner with them when this is how they answer things)
An example would be - They have REPORTING partners and the partners told me they rely on the API provided by LIGHTSPEED, Since lightspeed was not able to provide much of anything I though it best not to invest..

What features/services would you like to see in future versions of this product?

Much better reporting
Support that can handle more difficult questions.
Front Line support that knows the product much better
Weekend support that is able to handle major issues so business is kept online.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

Problems resolved - Well I guess we were not paying our accounting team enough as now we have to do way more things manually which creates lots of extra hours for them.
