Shared Mobile Translations

Localazy aids you and your contributors/translators to translate mobile applications with greater efficiency, accuracy, and reliability without spending too much. Localazy translates mobile apps to different languages using two technologies, namely ShareTM and InTM. These are translation memories that provide automated app translation capabilities and useful information and insights developers and contributors can take advantage of. 

ShareTM gathers application resources and approved translations from Localazy users and shares them with all other mobile applications on the platform. Localazy uses the shared translations provided by ShareTM to instantly translate half of your mobile app to 80 languages. If your mobile app is already translated to certain languages, you can actually translate it to new different languages at no cost. This is because Localazy rewards you when you share your own translations on the platform. Therefore, you no longer need to pay for translating the same strings or phrases in your mobile app all over again. 

Through ShareTM, the platform suggests possible translations of your mobile app. It also gives your contributors or translators with translation insights. For instance, they can find out how phrases in your app are usually translated in other languages and how many applications are applying such translations. Moreover, Localazy provides you with the freedom to choose which translations you want to share with other applications. You can prevent the translation and sharing of strings or phrases that contain sensitive and private data, like URL addresses and ad and app identifiers. 

Intelligent & Efficient App Localization 

InTM is another translation memory built within Localazy. This technology gives deeper contextualization to your mobile application translations because it translates your app without relying only on shared translations. InTM analyzes, understands, and translates your app within the context of your own project. For example, it tracks and analyzes changes made in the structures and resources of your mobile app, including modules, libraries, and strings. 

When you replace existing phrases in your mobile app with new phrases, InTM automatically detects and translates those new phrases. It also retains all translations of the old phrases. In addition, InTM can even automatically suggest and accept new translations only for those phrases you preferred and approved. This accelerates the process of generating, reviewing, and delivering translations of your mobile app. 

Furthermore, if your contributors already translated certain strings or phrases in the mobile app, InTM helps you ensure that the translated phrases don’t have missing translations in other languages. The translation memory searches and translates phrases in the app that are translated in specific languages but not in other different languages. In addition, it enables you to translate strings that have app-specific data or those strings that ShareTM doesn’t process and translate. 

Pro-Active Review Process

Localazy permits you to review mobile app translations in a proactive way. The platform assists you in obtaining greater visibility and control over how your mobile apps are being translated while having the opportunity to focus more on developing applications. By implementing a pro-active review process, you can produce mobile app translations with better quality and make them immediately available for users around the world. 

You can review translations recommended by the platform or those prepared by your own contributors or translators. Localazy is built with features that simplify and optimize the way you review translations of your mobile app. For example, you’ll be able to automatically approve translations prepared by contributors or evaluated by reviewers you trust. 

Localazy also allows you to quickly identify common problems in translations, such as translations with poor formatting or those with missing placeholders and tags. You can annotate, edit, and update translations as well, especially if they’re acceptable but only require minor changes. 

To further enhance the review process, Localazy gathers data about users of your app and guides you on how you should execute the reviews based on the data. Thus, you can prioritize translations and phrases that have a higher impact on app users.
