What are the best aspects of this product?

There’s a lot of features that I like in LogicMonitor like the simple but highly customizable dashboard to show me all the relevant data at a glance. I can also grant permission to the engineering department to view various aspects of the logic modules which greatly reduces the time needed to explain and investigate various processes. This results in a more transparent, faster, and more efficient workflow. The system also sports good user control and administration, an intuitive interface for creating custom logic modules, and a good range of protocols to choose from. Aside from those, I also appreciate the frequent improvements, patches, and updates to the software plus the fact that you can chat with the vendor’s support team within the platform so response time is good.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

While I’m satisfied with the product, there are still a few things that I feel it lacks which I have also discussed with the LogicMonitor team. One of them is the lack of dark mode. There’s also no way to fine-tune the polling intervals on the device level. And lastly, conformation prompts cannot be configured when the device groups are being moved through the drag-and-drop interface.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

Throughout the years I’ve worked using the product, there are many problems or missing features and such that I have reported to them to help the LogicMonitor team improve their software. This includes the settings for reducing alerts so that they won’t flood especially during important events and the ability to identify unsupported encryption protocols.
