What are the best aspects of this product?
It meets all our requirements. It can monitor a cloud infrastructure, which is a big advantage since almost everything these days is already moving to the cloud, is modular, and feature-packed. The ability to customize what can be viewed on the dashboard is also great, as it allows our teams to get a full view of what is only important to them. It basically makes us do our job faster. There was one time when a team worked with us during proof-of-concept testing and it's incredible how quickly we had it deployed. The transition from the proof-of-concept to the production was very seamless and easy. In terms of support, well we haven't really worked with them since we only had minimal issues. But they do offer training sessions to help new users get a hang of the product and it's amazing. They even provide records of training for those who miss out on the training. On top of that, the training sessions can be accessed for free. I think the training it's one thing that takes LogicMonitor apart from their competitors.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
Nothing I can think of. But during our POC testing, we did find some "nice to have" functionalities with alerting. The good thing is that LogicMonitor accepts suggestions/requests for their future releases.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
I am in a Network Engineering team and our job is to support and manage physical as well as virtual gear in our VPC's in the cloud, and on-premise. Hence, we are in need of versatile, feature-packed software to support our hybrid design. And LogicMonitor meets those needs.
