The system offers out-of-the-box functionalities such as network monitoring, physical and virtual server monitoring, flow-based bandwidth analysis, firewall log analysis and archiving, configuration and change management, and IP address and switch port management, thereby giving users all the visibility and control they require over their network.
Quick Setup
Setup is very quick and easy, with the installation process made easier still as a small number of options present themselves: whether to install as a service, which web port to use, and whether to use the built-in MySQL or a standalone MSSQL server, among others.
Highly Configurable
Configuration is also a breeze as OpManager offers a helpful list of recommended tasks on startup, such as network discovery. Entering your SNMP strings and IP ranges is quick work. In general, configuration is very simple. ManageEngine OpManager makes it painless to add devices or to discover new networks.
OpManager enables administrators to make templates that can be designated to devices, making it fast and simple to set a large number of devices to be treated the same way. Users can specify certain settings in the templates, elements such as polling intervals, as well parameters that will be closely tracked on each device.

Real-Time, In-Depth Performance Monitoring
You can use live dashboards and graphs to track the performance of network devices in real time. Measure key metrics such as errors and discards, packet loss, etc. In addition, you can monitor important performance metrics like memory utilization, disk space, CPU, and availability across virtual and physical servers. Threshold-based alerts enable you to identify and rectify network issues promptly. You can set multiple thresholds for each performance metric and obtain notifications.
Correct errors with reactive network monitoring methods such as reading or forwarding trap and syslog messages, generating alarms, etc. Get in-depth insights on network performance from over 100 inbuilt reports. You can customize and export these reports as required. In short, ManageEngine OpManager helps you to do efficient and effective performance and fault management to track and correct outages before they occur to prevent damaging downtime.

PROS: First off, it is really great that this program comes with a free trial. I appreciate that while there is only a single interface that you use to monitor network traffic, you can customize it to be as straightforward or as complicated as you want. It has also helped me easily view exports from Netflow and a number of other programs.
CONS: If I look at the bigger picture, my complaint about this tool is not really that big a deal. But I do wish that they returned back to the old user interface that they had. It takes a bit of a learning curve to effectively use the new one, and I miss it. That said, it is a minor complaint compared to what the tool does for me.

PROS: As software, it is flexible. Once you've figured out how to use it, there are a variety of things that you can do with it, such as use an event to trigger a workflow.
CONS: To be fair, the support team has been exceptional. That said, what often happens is that issues come from the updates provided. Hopefully, future updates won't be as disruptive, so there is no need to contact the support team.

PROS: Frankly speaking, this software is quite powerful, and the features and tools that come with it are incredibly useful. Thanks to this software, I can automatically open tickets as soon as I receive an alert. I am also immediately on top of any issues like failed servers or critical servers, thanks to a feature that sends me a text alert or an email whenever such an issue arises. It is also impressive how their monitoring dashboard is so powerful. Netflow and application monitoring add-ons are also welcome features.
CONS: It is a big drawback that there is a steep learning curve to contend with when it comes to learning to use this and even configuring it.

PROS: It is already great that it can monitor a network reliably, but the cherry on top is the fact that it is so affordable.
CONS: Overall, I think this is good software. However, I do wish that I didn't have to put in so much detail when it comes to the first set of data to be monitored. I do appreciate the deep dive required, but it understandably can be tedious.

PROS: There are so many things to like about this tool. For one thing, it was so easy to install this. I don't think it took even more than 30 minutes? Once it is installed, it worked like a charm. It didn't matter what the operating system was, and this tool could effectively monitor both our physical and virtual servers, just as long as it had the details for the device or machine. It was so great to look at the information it showed you. This tool delivered for us, even if our network was just a small one, by showing us what exactly goes on in our network. I also liked that this tool gives us the option to monitor a lot more, even if, right now, we only need to keep track of two network interfaces. I was also grateful that this tool could configure Netflow into your router for you if you couldn't figure it out on your own. I can easily see this tool growing alongside our business as we move forward.
CONS: One thing I think they can improve on is the backup process. Right now, the only way to do it is manually, and I think that just sets you up for a lot of mistakes. I hope that upcoming versions of this software will have an automatic backup feature instead so that I have one less thing to worry about doing.

PROS: I found this software to be remarkable. With it, I've been able to get outstanding monitoring and high-quality monitoring reports. The accuracy I get from these reports is something I am grateful for. The tools equip me well. Using it is such a joy.
CONS: Learning how to use all of the functions and even configuring them properly can take quite some time. You have to put in all of that time because you won't get the results you want otherwise. But once you've overcome that, the functions are exceptional, and the monitoring is top-notch.

PROS: When it comes to security and accessibility, I think very few have this software beat. I am impressed with its extensive reach since it can monitor printers, virtual machines, LAN controllers, firewalls, switches, routers, and anything controlled by those devices and software. Another thing that won me over is the flexibility of this software. I've physically and virtually monitor several different servers, and I can do it with either a Linux or Windows operating system. Adjustments are also easy to do because real-time monitoring of networks is possible with this software. This software being customizable is another big plus as tools can be added to panels whenever needed. Real-time alerts are also possible thanks to the multiple thresholds provided by this software.
CONS: One area of improvement I can suggest is better graphic user interfaces and more details in widgets and control panels. I'd really appreciate seeing real-time orders being given detailed divisions on the panels, as well as more detail on the date being monitored.

PROS: The adaptability of this software is commendable. There are so many things you can use it for once you've thoroughly understood it. For instance, I can't describe how great it was to have a workflow triggered by an event.
CONS: Updates should make the software better, but what I've found is that it just messes up what we already have set-up. I think that this is something they should look into seriously. On the bright side, the support team has been helpful, like no other and should be commended.

PROS: There's nothing more you can ask for when it comes to the tools you're provided with. An added bonus is how stable it is when it comes to monitoring. The interface you use is not bad, either!
CONS: One thing that they can do better is maybe simplifying the software. I can understand if some users may find it a little too complicated, especially when it comes to first data that required detailed configuration.

PROS: Quite frankly, I can't think of any other way to do my job now without this tool. My line of work involves monitoring internet users and their entry and exit of our network, and this software has been a godsend. I can develop customized alerts whenever the network is being slowed down because someone is eating up too much of it. My job has also become easier thanks to the tool's centralized console, where the interface and device monitoring is a breeze. Bandwidth management is similarly easy with this tool. I have also gained the tools required to look at unknown sources or unexpected traffic and use Netflow data to verify them.
CONS: I have to admit that this tool can be a little intimidating for users who may not be as familiar with consoles of this type. This software can be complicated for novice users and has no experience in this type of console; it requires previous training that allows them to take advantage of all the same functionalities. Although the graphic interface is nice and intuitive, I think it deserves a refresh in its image because I sometimes get lost with so many options and functions, which are not bad, but it would be nice to have a better point of view to be able to exploit them properly.

PROS: It stacks up well when you compare it to other similar types. It is more accurate than other software, and a bonus is that it is quite user-friendly. I think the features for network management pass muster and configuring, monitoring, and setting alarms can be done easily. I was also impressed at the quick feedback it address. I also appreciated how it has helped us free up some bandwidth by finding applications that eat up a lot of it.
CONS: There are also several issues that I'd like to address. For one thing, the updates for this software could be more affordable, because currently, they are a bit expensive because of the functions that come with the changed license. I've also experienced some slowness whenever I move between applications. This software could again do well to streamline the process of setting up alarms. I also found it tedious to clear the entire browser cache because of some issues we encountered.
