PROS & CONS

What are the best aspects of this product?

The maturity of this product can be described with one word: integration. Back then, Microsoft understood that scheduling, messaing, and contact management are linked and depenedent on each other for carrying out everything you need in organizing connections, interaction, and calendars. Outlook grew up and it became Microsoft's critical component in their Office platform. They even made Outlook as a premimum component within the cloud. This makes it capable in competing against Yahoo, G-Mail, and other platforms that are cloud-based.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

Even with Microsoft doing whatever they could in making Outlook the best, they've still left out certain integration components within their very own software. Windows Calendar and Contacts provide lighter versions of managing fata that certain users can carry out. When the same users make a decision to dive into Outlook, a lot of challenges present themselves in migrating Windows apps directly into Outlook. There are solutions to the problem, but a typical user will have a difficult time transitioning.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

The biggest advantage of utilizing Outlook is basically the same as that of its sole downside. Storing data locally can both be a good and bad thing. Outlook offers a useful tool for archiving calendar, e-mail, and contacts. Likewise, you're able to access data easily to import into another account or begin transitioning into a new PC. Outlook offers a number of feature for managing and displaying data as well as filtering, seeking out, and archiving message stores.
