What are the best aspects of this product?

We're frequently using System Center for a number of things. These include VMM, DPM, and SCCM. The suite makes Microsft Technologies more manageable. They're made according to the System Center and vendors can understand such need. It's essentially a central point for just about everything.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

With Microsoft functioning a little slower in terms of technology, there a ton of features not seen that are already available in other vendors. Whenever a latest version is released, Microsft loyalists will be amazed but other users may complain of a certain functionality that's already available in other products. There's zero de-duplicaton in terms of DPM backup. You'll have to make a de-duplication of the source or utilize VMs in complex instances. The SCOM requires a Dr. to effectively use it.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

We deal with numerous VMs, PCs, and servers. Through System Center, it's now possible to manage them. Its suite has everything that one needs. It can be anywhere from backup to deployment to monitoring. Since Microsoft is really everywhere, it makes complete sense to utilize System Center.
