PROS: For the most part, I work with a System Center Configuration Manager paired with the Enterprise Mobility Suite (Microsoft), which has good integration with the Configuration Manager. The suite consists of products made for tracking; managing backups, service desk, virtual machine, and automation; and malware protection. Its licensing gives accessiblity to all of its products, which helps with environment management. Its Configuration Manager is conssitently expanding.

CONS: There's nothing much to hate with this suite. Its products does have some learning curve which can take a bit of time to be familiar with. The best approach is to go right in and utilize them when given the chance. If you're facing issues, its System Center community are always there with answers!

PROS: It can gather software and hardware inventory, distribute and install applications and software updates (which helps increase the software’s rate of update compliance), measure software users, and remotely control computers (making it easier to provide troubleshooting help). The system center can also be used to deploy OS. We used it to upgrade all our Windows to Windows 10.

CONS: Honestly, I cannot think of any drawback. The system center is generally effective and useful.

PROS: Simplified data center management. Our organization can manage our data center as well as other aspects of Information Technology in several different platforms and environment with ease. Through simplifying data center management, we can create functions related to data right from the implementation down to infrastructure monitoring without compromising performance and agility.

CONS: The whole implementation process is pretty annoying. The instructions given are not clear. The implementation is also very expensive. IT departments who are planning to test the software before installing it needs to be prepared. Lastly, its interface is pretty hard to navigate both for administrators and users.

PROS: Its tracking and reporting tools are very helpful for compliance purposes. The ability to guarantee that all applications that run in deployed computers are approved and remains updated is very useful in organization-wide deployment. The ability to push package application installations as well as system updates is something I utilize daily. Lastly, it got a powerful and very robust remote support as well as management.

CONS: We did have some minor problems when we rolled out the IPV6. We reached out to the Microsoft team and they fixed those issues in no time. Other than that, everything is working fine for us. Minor problems do happen with most solutions which are kind of normal and acceptable as long as they are resolved immediately. So generally, I think there is nothing I can consider a downside of using this one.

PROS: We can patch workstations and servers, thanks to the configuration manager. Potential issues are fixed immediately, thanks to the notifications sent by the operations manager. Lastly, Hyper-V cluster management has become more streamlined because of the Virtual Machine Manager.

CONS: We have a small department and keeping up with the changes as well as updates is pretty challenging.

PROS: A great monitoring tool that I've ever worked with. I've been using IBM, CA, and HP monitoring tools for several years then made a switch by concentraring on Microsoft. Since I've made the transition, I was able to deploy SCOM all over the globe. Personally, it's one of the best products that's both lightweight and reasonably priced. Microsoft has done an incredible job extending its Cross Platform, which makes it ideal in a heterogenous environment.

CONS: I feel there's nothing to really hate with its bundled products.

CONS: There's nothing to hate with this product. Everything is great from top to bottom. Nothing to complain here.

PROS: It offers a unified infrastructure for the protection and administration of the clients, makes it easier to manage client systems, helps us ensure regulatory compliance, allow us to move real machines to virtual environment and manage the virtual machines as well as the storage servers with ease, and implement the best information technology service management methodologies in a breeze. We are also able to automate tickets.

CONS: It needs implementation work but on the good side, it reduces the administrative burden. It is pretty helpful in departments with complicated IT areas but may not be a good choice for small scale businesses. Well, it is understandable since the target users of this product are huge enterprises.

PROS: I think the top advantage would be the ability to deploy package apps to as many workstations we prefer. The best thing is, we don’t need to be a local administrator on the particular workstation where the package will be installed because those can already be accessed in the catalog.

CONS: There’s a steep learning curve. The app itself is pretty complicated. And the process of changing something in it takes a long time.

PROS: The latest set of releases provide a smarter user interface, which helps organize your enterprise-related items. OS deployments are more direct this time around. Pre-filled menus and options can be of great assistance in finding the right option for the things that you do. App and package deployments contain pre-installed wizards that gives you the ability to import and label files. Life cycle management for apps and packages is a cinch.

CONS: At times, the SCCM functions uber slow. If you've recently included an asset, you might have to wait around half an hour for it to pop up in the user interface and database. It doesn't have real-time reporting. We went from a solution offered by Altiris to SSCM. The thing tha makes Altiris better is its real-time status updates in OS deployments or console/server tasks sequences.

PROS: We're frequently using System Center for a number of things. These include VMM, DPM, and SCCM. The suite makes Microsft Technologies more manageable. They're made according to the System Center and vendors can understand such need. It's essentially a central point for just about everything.

CONS: With Microsoft functioning a little slower in terms of technology, there a ton of features not seen that are already available in other vendors. Whenever a latest version is released, Microsft loyalists will be amazed but other users may complain of a certain functionality that's already available in other products. There's zero de-duplicaton in terms of DPM backup. You'll have to make a de-duplication of the source or utilize VMs in complex instances. The SCOM requires a Dr. to effectively use it.

PROS: When it Microsft services and applications monitoring, there's nothing that's as robust and flexible than SCM. It has great integration and meshes well with other MS-based products (custom and OOB). Installation, configuration, and administration is seamless. There are solutions in the market, yet I've remained loyal to this product for a long while now. I still love how their tools and features work.

CONS: There's a tendency to run into a continuous learning curve since it almost always changes. A majority of the changes are typically seen within the user interface. For the most part, the learning curve is small. Aside from this minor gripe, there's really nothing else bad with this product.

PROS: It's considered to be one of the most ideal Windows-based client management and deployment tool in the market. SCOM happens to be a top notch tool for monitoring. It's able to look into environment matters and correct them. The Config Manager can be customized for dpeloying software and updates to machines in one click. It plugs directly into the Azure cloud stack, making it cloud-ready.

CONS: This is a great product and works best in bigger businesses. Complications involved in collection and memberships set up could leave an enterprise with a big mess. It's recommended you have a place with plenty of rigor and thought in organizing your software deployments.

PROS: So man things that this suite can do. The System Center Advisor makes it seamless and simple Sass service management. Its Configuration Manager contains patches for deployment as well as server management and configuration. I like how their Orchestrator and Service Manager works. The functionality seen this section contains tools that can easily be integrated for streaming workflow.

CONS: Configurations and deployments can be done easy. Thing is, operations and service know-how is required. If you're a professional working in IT, it'll take some time to get a complete grasp of its services and private cloud.

PROS: Compared to the current set of tools we're using it's a lot more powerful and dependable. Logging from the tool allows for a clear idea on the problem whenever they come up. It's essentially a product from Microsoft. We're primarily working in a Windows environment so expect only a small amount of compatibility issues. It's simpler to troubleshoot info on tech forums as as result of a bigger user database.

CONS: I sorely miss on its admin console (browser-based). I haven't seen any problems within our test environment. We're in the middle of rolling out production so I may include this to be filed in the later going.
