PROS & CONS
What are the best aspects of this product?
- Software available on a wide range of operating systems including NAS and Gnu/Linux.
- We migrated from another well-known backup software for VSphere which had become overpriced despite its excellent integration. The challenge for NAKIVO was to manage virtualization as well.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
My first installation was on a Synology RX820+ NAS which did not give me satisfaction after a few days with an alert on the allocated memory. So I successfully migrated to a more standard server.
What features/services would you like to see in future versions of this product?
It's always frustrating not to have all the features because of its license. A good idea would be to change this policy which is a bit stingy.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
Our objective was to upgrade software that had become obsolete without spending the crazy sums requested by the publisher. We looked for alternatives and after several tests we decided on NAKIVO which seemed to manage the VMs well.
