Great lightweight backup solution with web interface!!!

What are the best aspects of this product?

Easy to use web interface is a big plus for backup solution, especially when you have multiple customers that want to have overview of their backup infra, so multitenancy is the right way to go. Great plus is the possibility to backup VMs on free ESXi and also on latest version 6.7 that we tested successfully. This was a No-Go while using Veeam B&R. API is very usefull if you want to automate backup creation, so in the end you can create or recover VM in one single command. We also like the notifications, compression, deduplication options and network acceleration to speed up backup/restore operations through slower WAN connections. The price is much better in compare to other backup alternatives and each of Nakivo backup component uses very small HW resources, but that depends on your configuration. Install and upgrade process is straightforward and very fast, so in about 15min you are ready to go. Good job to Nakivo.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

I cannot think of any right now, only time will show.

What features/services would you like to see in future versions of this product?

It would be very helpful if Nakivo could create backup on tapes and backup physical machine with some sort of backup agent. Also some graphical statistics of individual VMs backup size would be very helpful, with retention savings as well. Creating backups of VMs running on OpenStack will be a big plus for opensource community.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

Backing up VMs on free ESXi is now possible thanks to Nakivo, also web interface reduced reaction time for restoring production critical systems. Nakivo reduced our HW allocation to whole backup infra by huge margin in compare to Veeam.
