What are the best aspects of this product?
For my business, Nakivo Backup has been a game-changer. The setup is straightforward, and the interface is clean and easy to navigate, which is crucial when managing multiple client environments. The backup speed is excellent, and features like instant VM recovery and deduplication have saved us both time and storage costs. It integrates well with VMware and Hyper-V, which fits perfectly with our infrastructure. The ransomware protection and backup immutability features provide an added layer of security, giving us peace of mind when managing critical data.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
While Nakivo is highly efficient, the reporting and alerting could be a bit more detailed, especially for clients who need in-depth compliance tracking. I’d also love to see better support for more third-party cloud storage providers to give us even more flexibility. The web interface is solid, but adding more customization options for dashboards would make it even better.
What features/services would you like to see in future versions of this product?
A more advanced role-based access control (RBAC) system would be great, especially for environments where multiple users need different levels of access. Expanding API integrations would also make automation smoother, particularly when integrating with monitoring and ticketing systems. A mobile app for quick backup status checks and alerts would be a fantastic addition, making it easier to manage backups on the go.
