PROS & CONS

What are the best aspects of this product?

Great product that helps us easily meet our backup and replication requirements in a dynamic MSP environment with many customers.
The product is easy to setup/configure/upgrade and manage via a nice web UI.
The API helps us manage and monitor the backup and replications.
The price is a fraction of the cost of other backup solutions such as Zerto and works just as well.
Nakivo support is very good, and you will get direct access to an engineer if a problem occurs.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

The product could provide better visibility into the storage usage of VMs being backed up. When using forever incremental backups, there is no reporting capability making it difficult to account for storage on a per VM/customer level. The API management is now a premium feature when other vendors offer this kind of functionality for free.

What features/services would you like to see in future versions of this product?

Improved reporting and management of storage functions, such as better visibility on individual VM storage usage.
Improved storage management, such as ability to migrate VM backups between storage repositories

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

We use the backup capability to provide point in time (Daily) recovery for our production workloads. The replication capability helps us meet our DR/BCP requirements by replicating VMs to a secondary disaster site. The restore from backup has saved us many times.
