NetSuite Review

PROS: NetSuite is a very flexible tool that provides users with unlimited options. It covers almost all aspects of our business operations, and we are confident that we are doing everything in a systematical order from start to finish.

CONS: We encountered a couple of issues with NetSuite in terms of platform compatibility and system integration. This platform is more suited for commercial retail or mass production in a factory setting. During the launch, we discovered that the ERP platform lacks some functionalities that would support our business.

PROS: Reporting for me always is a top priority. I want to see the numbers wherever I am at all times. NetSuite makes this possible, which helps me a lot. Being able to see my team's performance 24/7 empowers me and helps me manage my company seamlessly.

CONS: I still encounter some minor challenges in using the platform. My previous company also uses NetSuite; however, it seems that there is a huge difference in how they use the platform. It can sometimes get confusing, and I end up feeling frustrated.

PROS: This is highly completed solution, it handles all accounting data including journal entries, bills, vendor information, opex, cost of sales, amortization schedules and many other things. We run every account function through Netsuite and we are able to upload directly to Adaptive Insights.

CONS: I just don’t like its UI, is not as cleas as other systems that we use, other systems have much more intuitive and user-friendly UI. Sometimes I need to search around in order to find what I’m looking for.

PROS: I love that the Global Search makes it easy to find entities, transactions, and saved reports and searches. I can rely without worry on the mathematical processes behind canned reports and transactions. Almost every field is searchable and searches allow pivot tables, summaries, and formula creation. It is simple to create and edit forms, records, and custom fields.

CONS: Physical inventory with multiple bins and branch locations is a bit weak. Searches are excellent, but reports need to be improved to make them more logical and transparent.

PROS: We have been using NetSuite for the past few months and are very happy with its ERP functions, thus far. We use it to manage our warehouse, fulfillment, and sales order processes. We are planning to use NetSuite for our CRM and accounting as well. The app is very robust and offers plenty of useful features for our needs. We plan to use this single system for all our work and that is why we are moving our CRM and accounting into this app.

CONS: NetSuite is a complex app. It provides many features but also adds steps to processes which has slowed down our work. To be fair, before NetSuite we were using shortcuts for our tasks. NetSuite’s complexity helps us to streamline all our warehouse processes.

PROS: For me, the positive features are the search and customization capabilities. It is easy to customize the app for our business requirements and to create searches for our reports. Another big benefit is the great flexibility offered to design and modify forms.

CONS: The customer support is ok. The agents sometimes indulge in guesswork but are otherwise good at understanding the root issues and resolving them quickly. However, I am not able to add a few basic features to NetSuite's development list. I would rate scalability and performance as poor. The searches time out as we have millions of transactions per month. Because of the customization we have done, the UI response time has become poor for many transactions. We use complex customizations and because of this transactions are not processed properly due to performance and timing issues.

PROS: We switched from QuickBooks to NetSuite since 2013, and we implemented NetSuite as out ERP system. We run tech company that uses a subscription based. We are able to export reports from our billing system into Excel and to prepare our revenue recognition into Excel. I like that this tool provides us with scalable revenue recognition process.

CONS: There are some features we would like to use in order to customize our business if they were cost effective. We’d like to report on both the item level and date level for revenue entries but we are not allowed to do that.

PROS: NetSuite has helped us to significantly enhance this portion of our business, as well as the time it takes to process personal expenses on a monthly basis. By moving from an Excel based expense reporting tool to Nexonia, we were able to reduce our expense report submission process by nearly a week.

CONS: The product is very customizable but there is a negative as you have a lot to learn. I’ve been using NetSuite for about three years now and I still have to learn about a lot of the features. Another gripe is a lot of basic features are not available. We have made requests for about 15 enhancements with the support team. For example, I feel the bank reconciliation functionality could be made easier to use, but to be fair, the vendor is trying to improve this feature.

PROS: There are so many things that I like about NetSuite. First is its adaptability, and the second is its customizability. It allows us to create our very own templates for our order forms and invoices and work into more complex requests via Suitscripts for better business functionality. Every company or business is unique; that is why NetSuite allows me to customize my entire platform so we can maximize our resources and make sure that things are as efficient as they should be.

CONS: There are instances wherein asking for help is somehow challenging. The support team should be more proactive and resourceful when dealing with customer issues. Sometimes I feel that it is very time consuming to launch a trouble ticket for one single incident and also turn around time should be shorter than expected. The agents who assisted me did a good job for their effort, but it would not hurt to let them undergo training to upgrade their current skills.

PROS: We have been through a few ERP platforms ever since the company started; however, NetSuite is the best among its competitors. As a mid-size company, there is a need for us to come up with a standard business process that is vital for us to remain competitive as we take things to the next level. With NetSuite, you can integrate all of your business processes into one single platform. From Inventory, accounting, human resources, sales, customer service, reporting, and procurement, you can rely on NetSuite to handle everything for you and the rest of your staff.

CONS: It needs Minor upgrades. They could work on improving their reporting structure by integrating more graphs and charts, making it easy for everyone to see the trending performance and provide comparative analysis, which plays a key role in decision making. It would be great if they can implement this within the next couple of months.

PROS: Very easy to use and customizable depending on your wants and needs. It only takes seconds to search for whatever you need making things easier for everyone in the workplace. Also, you do not need to be an expert to solve any problems that you may encounter because NetSuite can do it for you.

CONS: The app can sometimes work slower than usual. Whenever it introduces any updates, we find it challenging to do our routine efficiently.

PROS: Using one tool for everything that you need is an amazing thing. It keeps everything well organized. You can track its users, which makes every employee accountable for whatever they do in the office. NetSuite also helps us solve problems faster since we are using a centralized platform. It is now easier to look for answers.

CONS: The setup varies depending on who took charge of the installation. I wish that it should be the same across all NS users. I am hoping that they can do something to minimize background scripts as it causes the system to slow down and freeze. There are instances where workflow is affected because error messages like "record have been changed," and sadly, we cannot do anything about it.

PROS: NetSuite offers integration with 3rd party platforms via APIs. We are able to do data validation and manipulation before doing the import and this helps us to make great improvement to our administrative procedures. The systrem is fully customizable and we can make it to meet all our needs by creating our own customisation and integrations.

CONS: We don’t have dislikes about the system, once you learn how to use it you’ll see how simple it is.

PROS: Communication is essential in every business, and NetSuite helps us get in touch with our co-workers and also to our external clients, which brings revenue to our company. The platform is so easy to use, and it does an excellent job of withholding all pertinent customer information. You can search and extract data anytime you want with just a few clicks. Reaching out for a customer has never been this easy.

CONS: System lags and glitches such as duplicate emails that can annoy a client. There are instances wherein the entire system loses its functionality, and the staff cannot get any work done for the day, causing us to have backlogs for the next couple of days. Although this scenario does not happen frequently, it still impacts our productivity and momentum. The good thing is that NetSuite makes sure that everyone is aware of what's going to happen most of the time.

PROS: I am amazed at what NetSuite can do for our company. It can take good care of almost everything from billing, procurement, QA, and CS. You can easily master the platform, plus you can play around with it and customize it the way you want things to be. So far, I am trying to find a way to incorporate one of our business processes and integrate them into NetSuite.

CONS: Some issues take time to solve, wherein it would be easier if they could come up with a practical approach on how to solve it. It affects everyone's work, especially if there is no support team to walk you through the platform.

PROS: NetSuite comes with a list of advanced features that I am excited to incorporate in our daily business operations. Also, their tech support department deserves kudos for its consistent performance. I am also happy that I see a little bit of an improvement with their POS integration, which is crucial to our stores and frontliners.

CONS: We did experience some backlogs a few weeks ago because the system became a little bit slower than it usually should be. In our business time is of the essence and we cannot afford constant delays in our orders. We are also having issues when it comes to multiple platform integration. I have noticed that NetSuite is having a hard time supporting our POS as well as Bronco, in which both apps are significant to our company.

PROS: We switched from QuickBooks to NetSuite and this has boosted collaboration between our team members. I appreciate that employees only have access to info based on their role and cannot access info they don’t need.

CONS: The only drawback for me is the clunky user interface. Our employees and other users will appreciate if the vendor makes the UI easier to use.

PROS: We implemented NetSuite in a small business and we were using it for accounting, manufacturing, inventory and website features. I like that whole data is in one place and this helps us to get deeper insight into sales, customers, marketing and purchasing. Also, the other thing that I like about this tool is the fact that is highly customizable and it can be tuned to do everything.

CONS: My team gets easily frustrated when managing this system and they constantly need IT department. But I haven’t found solution that offers this kind of flexibility. Furthermore, I have heard that the system is old-fashioned and clunky, it is a fact that it doesn’t have modern look but this is because the system is highly customizable, we can easily rearrange the fields on the screen and add new fields to the interface.

PROS: The good thing about Netsuite is that you can do pretty much anything with it, you have unlimited amounts of custom fields and custom records and reports. It offers great integration between ERP and CRM which is important to business. I like that we can see and interact with customer sub ledger on same CRM page, and we are able to track the budget and cost of support cases.

CONS: In my experience scripting can be complicated. Also, the workflow manager is easy to use but you can face some odd limitations that requires you to use SuiteScript. They could add integration with Office 365.

PROS: I like that NetSuite is highly responsive product, reliable and up-time, it offers great features and functions. It has fast and efficient connectivity and huge community of users, developers and partners. I like its automation tools and scalable UI. I personally like the Account manager because I constantly get updates and workarounds. I’m able to share experince and knowledge about finctionality.

CONS: There are some things that I might dislike about NetSuite, for e.g. you can reach their support service through email but you cannot reach them through call because on-hold queue support is more than 20min.

PROS: The configuration is simple and useful, I like that we can easily go live and to use workflow manager app. I often use Net Suite app to create customizable dashboard and I use its user history tracking. Also, I like its speed and zero downtime of the app.

CONS: The price of the product is high and it is not suitable for India market. They really lack tax and business information from India, there is no payroll part and its mobile app is bit complicated.

PROS: NS comes with a variety of features that suits the needs of our business. It helps us streamline our operations by taking charge of our accounting, record keeping as well as reporting and analytics. We can get adequate help and real-time solutions, which makes NS our go-to platform ever since.

CONS: I am hoping that they could maintain their current pricing because, honestly, it gets steeper as the years go by. As for other opportunities, it would be nice if they can work on eliminating bugs that often occur whenever they upgrade their platform because it affects our interface and causes delays on our end. They should look into improving their process in terms of data collection and archiving because they charge more for bigger storage space, and we should get what we pay for.

PROS: Very flexible platform. It has a feature that allows users to customize the app for their convenience. It allows you to view your recent history, making it easier to look or retrieve essential data.

CONS: For the past months, NetSuite has been experiencing extreme latency, which affects all of our employees. This situation had a significant impact on our business, especially in our financials. It is disappointing that the support team behind NetSuite failed to educate us clearly about what is going on because there are times that we feel helpless and not knowing what our next move would be.

PROS: One of the best attributes of NetSuite is its flexibility. It can do so many things that make day to day operations more efficient than before. We can take advantage of the platform in terms of inventory, purchasing, quality assurance, online retail, and so much more. The app itself allows us to personalize the platform by choosing what features to install in the system. They make sure that we get to use and maximize each feature. That is why I am recommending that every big or small company should use NetSuite.

CONS: I am hoping that their tech support division can come up with fast and accurate solutions to most of our issues.

PROS: The platform has a keen eye in identifying and correcting errors, which saves our employees a lot of time. Manual record-keeping can be very tedious and time-consuming, which affects our daily productivity. NetSuite does an amazing job of organizing a huge amount of data that contains customer info. You can easily pull whatever info or file you need and use it for any of your existing projects.

CONS: The people behind NetSuite needs more training with product specifications. There was an instance where I spent hours trying to find a solution to an issue that is related to accounting. The support team had a hard time trying to find the answers to my questions, and I felt a little bit frustrated.

PROS: Good product and I find it useful for the company. What I like most about NetSuite is you can customize the platform to match your expectations and align them to your operational needs.

CONS: NetSuite should take more responsibility whenever they do upgrades or add new features. Users usually encounter a lot of technical issues during this phase. Sometimes it takes time to load a page or pull up reports, and the support team is unable to provide us a clear timeline as to when these problems would get fixed.

PROS: I have been using NetSuite for the past many years and it is the best ERP software in my experience. The platform can easily scale for your company’s growing needs. It can be used by companies in any industry to operate all their work in a single system. In my opinion, NetSuite is the best business app in the market today.

CONS: My only gripe is it is difficult to do 1099 reporting as we need to produce huge volumes of 1099’s.

PROS: I love that NetSuite is flexible so that we can customize the app for our process and don’t need to change the process to suit the app. I can easily create Forms and Records, Queries, Reports, and Custom Inputs. I can use the Visual Workflow Manager for tasks like sending email notifications, showing popup messages to inform users, making fields required for certain users, etc. In short, the Workflow Manager enables us to automate tasks and manage our process easily.

CONS: There is a millisecond delay when you enter data into a cloud-based system like NetSuite. But this is a negligible glitch that can be ignored given that you don’t have to manually enter data in different systems because NetSuite is a single app that runs our whole company.

PROS: We switched from Quickbooks Enterprise to NetSuite and are happy with our decision. NetSuite offers us a single effective app for marketing, ERP, and customer management, and helps us to save money and time and work smarter. I recommend this system to fast-expanding businesses that are outgrowing Quickbooks.

CONS: I have no complaints at all as NetSuite exceeds our expectations. The system is easy to use and the customer support is responsive and helpful. We have been using the app for more than a year and have suffered only one outage so far and that too for only a brief period. Quickbooks did not offer me this kind of efficiency and effectiveness.

PROS: We are a medium-sized manufacturing and distribution firm and we were able to go live within three months of signing the contract. This makes it the fastest implementation I’ve been part of. Another benefit is we can write scripts to customize the app for our needs. We managed to do this internally at an affordable cost. Finally, I could view KPIs and get insights on any data from anywhere in the world that had internet access.

CONS: Initially the system was slow, but the customer support was helpful and we realized that the slow speed was due to our company internet connection and not an issue with NetSuite. Our users expected the software to be fast like Google. They took some to realize that ERP systems like NetSuite are indeed a bit slow compared to websites like Google.

PROS: I have used other similar products and they always lacked something, on the other side NetSuite offers everything we need and it is full fetaured solution. It is flexible and customizable enough that allows us to build task queues and to get the task done.

CONS: The interface looks old-fashioned and it lacks integrations with tools like IFTTT but I think that this is because it has financial components.

PROS: We successfully implemented NetSuite in our small business making use of the website, inventory, manufacturing, and accounting features. The app offers all data in a single place which gives us good insight into purchasing, marketing, sales, customers and more. It can be easily customized to do anything. However, this can cost you some money.

CONS: NetSuite can be difficult to use without the help of IT or a consultant. Other accounting apps may be easier to use, but they are not as flexible or robust as NetSuite. You need to customize the app to make the most of it. The advantage is you can the fit the app to your needs and not vice versa. Some users say the interface is old fashioned and clunky. I admit the interface is not attractive but this is because of the customization capabilities. In comparison, Quickbooks’ interface looks more attractive, but you cannot add new fields and rearrange the fields on the Quickbooks screen. You can do this with NetSuite. To sum up, NetSuite is not pretty, but it is a great workhorse.
