What are the best aspects of this product?

Pricing is what's best with this platform since a majority of users are utilizing NetSuite CRM for their ERP module in one system. Due to this, you're required to only pay once for the system. Negotiating things the right way will help you land a reasonable price. In addition, the savings cost per on-prem solution is big since expenses involved in people, admins, and developers aren't thought out well. At day's end, NetSuite can be a strong or weak as to what's being implented.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

If you lack a clear direction of your organization's goals, admin support, and developer level, it'll fall flat. You have to be knowledgeable on what you intend to get done. You also need somebody from the staff to predict whether it's at all possible. Sadly, NetSuite won't guide you on which practice is best as the system on its own is way too flexible for a recommended SOP in terms of daily usage. This can lead to confusion or pushing back end users who end up getting frustrated with the system as it evolves with the organization it was meant to offer support for.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

At this point in time, I'm mainly concentrating on the re-implementation of the organization that I'm in. They're already operating NetSuite to a certain capacity. Thing is, they lack the vision as to how business will wind up functioning in NetSuite. But it accomplished some things for me. Some of these include: clearer responsibilities in NetSuite, automated transaction methodology and approval routing, customer dashboard design for clear presentation of data to developers, and automated reporting and looking into workable areas intended for the executive team.
