What are the best aspects of this product?
It doesn’t just ‘monitor’ different aspects of our work, but it also connects them in a comprehensive union. I was pleased to discover that response time can be divided in backend layers (the ‘python, redis, postgres’ network), while quality remains intact.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
I was sold on the amazing trial version, it had all of the necessary features and it performed quite well. The painful moment arrived when I had to pay for a first-level package, the IMHO was very expensive. I don’t fancy the upgrading prices either.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
I stayed in control of success even with my previous hosting provider, but it failed to notify me when something bad happened. I think that having this type of notifications is the key to success. I appreciate using New Relic because it doesn’t just notify me when an action fails: it provides me summarized clues on how to solve the problem!
