What are the best aspects of this product?
Well-wrapped feature set, totally worth of the money! Oktopost is cool, powerful, and user-friendly, easily navigated even by savvy users.
I love being able to create so many messages housed under the same campaign, because it means that I’m already making a format and gathering data for my final reports. Pretty straightforward, not so much philosophy in there, and best of all: absolute freedom for creative data modifications.
My favorite feature is ‘Message Assets’: it directs my content towards all social networks, and it stores it for eventual reuse, instead of making me insert it over and over again. It saved me one hell of a time, that’s for sure!
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
I don’t really understand this stuff, but the browser extensions seem a bit weaker than they should be. I use Buffer outside work, and I got used to them sending highlighted text or images straight to my queue, so this is a bit odd. Still, I believe I can get used to Oktopost too. After all, it gives me features that other tools don’t have (multiple posting, tagging content, using GIFs in image columns, etc).
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
I wanted more time-efficiency, especially for creating social posts and tracking content for eventual reposting. Oktopost freed me in that aspect, and now I can focus on my do-s outside social marketing. I’ve optimized both quality and quantity of content thanks to their excellent analytics. Ever since I started using it, I’m noticing an increase in social metrics.
I read a lot about their CRM/Marketing Automation packages, and I think that’s a reasonable investment for measuring traffic and social impact on revenue. I will definitely go for it.
