Making it easy to do invoicing, billing, and fund transfers

What are the best aspects of this product?

I love how simple PayPal Payments makes it for me to do invoicing, billing, and transfer funds to my bank. The invoicing system has a simple template that really does most of the work for you already. You can set due dates, too. The billing process is very simple, and you can send a bill via email to the customer, and in my account quick and easy. And the bank transfer is also just as simple as a two-click process.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

I expect to pay for the service, but I get charged something like 3% for domestic payments and 4% for international payments (based on what I've seen). That adds up to quite a lot. I also don't really understand why they charge a percentage instead of a fee. Whenever I can, I do try to stick to checks, but where it isn't feasible, I have to take this 3% or 4% (which I'm certainly not going to pass it on to the customer). So if a competitor comes out to establish a similar service, I would definitely consider switching if the fees are lower.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

I use the service for invoicing, billing, monetary transfers to my bank. I also get to use it for preparing the yearly report to help me at tax time. These solutions certainly make things simpler for me.
