What are the best aspects of this product?

Projectplace provides a one stop shop for Kanban, Gantt, file sharing, comments, as well as a tight integration with Planview.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

I had some problems with very large Excel documents not coming through properly. And having the Gantt view only available on the highest paywall is a bit of a money-grab, though only for non-corporate users. At the moment, we could not expand the use of this tool here as it does not work well with other tools that integrate with the code/build/test cycle.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

Projectplace was used to coordinate the rollout of a different tool into our corporate IT environment.It helped make it much easier to collaborate with the vendor without having to invest in VPN connections so they could access our internal SharePoint sites.
