PROS: QGIS is perfect for people who are new to exploring GIS applications. It is well-designed and has all the advanced features of other applications. It also comes with a whole community that will help you learn how to fully navigate it and maximize its usability. Tutorials and forums are available at your disposal as well.

CONS: I had a minor issue concerning the system language. I specifically had trouble trying to work with words that are in French. This issue might also be a concern for people who will need or prefer to use languages other than English.

PROS: QGIS is a very efficient tool that allows for even multitasking. I have been using it for years now. It has advanced features that let you create your maps with greater freedom. It also has top-notch statistical capabilities.

CONS: Some features of QGIS do not function as well as expected. I encountered some synchronization issues while working with it on my computer. I hope this same issue will not be present in future versions of the software.

PROS: I love that this software can be configured by editing its scripts. A large number of professionals are working on QGIS and the improvements being done are very apparent. I seldom encounter program errors when using QGIS. It is an efficient and reliable tool.

CONS: I would like QGIS better if output templates are readily available on the onset. This would lessen the time necessary for configuring settings when doing layout. Some of QGIS’s capabilities, like its search feature, need to be improved to be on par with other GIS applications.

PROS: The developer of this software is highly commendable. QGIS has been working well for us. We encountered no issues while downloading this. It has also been smooth-running from pre- to post image processing.

PROS: I commend the makers of this GIS application for its high usability. I have been relying on this software for years in performing my job as a scientist. I have not found any other software that works as well for me as QGIS does. It is also the most cost-effective GIS software on the market as it is free.

CONS: There were times when we encountered problems with synchronizing this with our devices and some of its features did not work as well as expected.

PROS: QGIS is a highly accessible application. It is free, light, and compatible with most devices. It also has a wide range of useful plugins. One of its plugins which I find extremely useful is qgis2web. I export my projects to web maps with this plugin.

CONS: Improvements could be made on QGIS’ GUI. The processing capabilities of the installed desktop version could also be improved.
