This free and open-source software has every one of the features other products are asking you to pay for. It is packed with various plugins that you can use to analyze data. You can choose from its various integrations when computing or performing interpolations like GRASS, SAGA, and Geoalgorithms. QGIS has its limitations in terms of area range. Its strength is in its many functionalities.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

Improvements could be made on QGIS to make it more user-friendly. Performing analysis with it can sometimes be a problem. Some municipalities do not recommend their use.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

Using QGIS’s plugins is more efficient than writing codes in ArcGIS. With QGIS, I no longer have to perform various operations like delineating watersheds manually. This software helps me perform my job faster.
