RentWorks is an all-inclusive, Windows-based car rental software designed by Bluebird Auto Rental Systems for service loaner departments, car rental companies, and global dealerships. PROS: I love how Bluebird’s RentWorks allows me to oversee practically all aspects of my company’s operations--from tracking my vehicles to checking my employees’ schedules. It’s reliable storage for all of my important files too.

CONS: I wish that the support staff would be more prompt in their response to issues that I escalate to them. I’ve noticed increasingly frequent system crashes and I do wish that they would address this soon. As a suggestion: please roll out a license scanning feature so that we don’t have to manually scan and input renter's license details.

PROS: If there’s one thing that stands out to me about this tool, it is its level of intuitiveness. I like how everything has been designed to make user experience run more smoothly. Case in point, they have created a feature that allows you to “pin” certain tools to the dashboard so they are easily accessible to you. Pretty impressive, right?

CONS: At the end of the day, creating this program had been a business decision, more than anything. But it still does not sit quite well with me that I have to pay for extra tools that, in the first place, should have been part of the initial package.

PROS: Here's a little trivia: my company has been using Bluebird's program for over a decade now! If that is not enough testament of how much we believe in this product, then I don't know what is. I particularly love just how simple yet robust this tool is. It can easily round-up all of our operations and compress it into digestible data. Teaching this program to our new team members is a breeze too. Because it does not require any advanced skills to navigate, they can easily understand its commands. There's plenty of room for networking and collaborating too--both to fellow users and the developers themselves. Rob and Angela continuously outdo themselves when it comes to catering to the needs of their clients.

CONS: Nothing. They've only just continued to improve through the years and I can't wait what else they have up their sleeves. Recently, they introduced new personnel whose main role is to check in on their users and ask for areas that they can still improve in. Kudos to the team for always taking care of users.

PROS: It's always nice to interact with an actual human being when it comes to customer service. I'm so used to being greeted by a machine that I find RentWorks such a breath of fresh air. The team is very accommodating and knowledgeable.

CONS: I find it a little limiting how the program only accepts payment from particular credit card companies. The software design also looks a bit out of fashion. The layout and the overall environment gives off the impression of a website from earlier years. However, the functions are still very impressive so I can't complain about the aesthetics too much.

PROS: I love the design of this program--very simple and does not leave much room for you to second guess your command buttons. Onboarding new members into our team have been much easier because of how easy this program is to use. Plus, the biggest bonus--their customer reps make you feel validated and supported

CONS: The only downside I have noticed about this program is the set-up. It’s quite difficult to launch, and it’s virtually impossible to install it by yourself and without the need to call in their support team. For some reason, it takes a while for it to settle into a new environment (e.g., a new computer or a tablet).

PROS: By nature, my work requires me to handle many tasks at the same time. Not only does RentWorks allow me to multitask, but it also simplifies my work processes for me. The reports that I've been able to generate using this tool are intensive and exhaustive as well.

CONS: I think that they should improve their customer response time. Sometimes it takes a while for my queries to be addressed. Also, I think that we should be able to maximize and minimize the screen as we please. Right now, we don't enjoy this benefit yet. It would also be nice if the program would recognize the Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V commands.

PROS: If you want a one-stop solution for your rental company’s needs, then this is the perfect tool for you. It doesn’t matter what your product is, as long as you are in the rental business, RentWorks has you covered--from tracking your products to creating invoices. This has completely overhauled our workflow for the better.

CONS: I’d like to have more freedom in the layout and the design of the dashboard. However, RentWorks does not give us such liberty. This is such a shame because other similar products offer customization.

PROS: An edge that RentWorks has over its competition is that it is customizable. One can easily declare their pricing, packages, etc.

CONS: Unless you’ve saved a specific tool in your dashboard, you can expect to spend the rest of the afternoon looking for said tool. These can easily get buried under all the features that this tool has to offer.

PROS: Although some of the existing programs we use don’t exactly integrate properly with RentWorks, I still think that the potential for brilliant software support is still there. If you strip away all the restrictions that come with working in my company, I would gladly incorporate this tool into our workflow. Why? I can think of two reasons: its ease of use and intensive insights it provides through the reports generated from it.

CONS: I think that this has more to do with our work process, but my experience in using RentWorks could stand to run more smoothly. It would be nice to fully use all of its functionalities- though. We just need to find a way to make it work more seamlessly with the programs that are already embedded in our work system.

PROS: I love how we can easily mirror the data sequence our rental agents ask for from our customers with the information cells on the screen. This way, we can quickly input the details without having to scramble to look for the cell that needs to be filled out. There are keyboard shortcuts that support this process further too. There’s a section of the form where we can just tick off boxes of add-ons that our customers have decided to purchase too. Overall, this has greatly contributed to how convenient and fast we’ve been able to check customers in and out. And it’s not just the software that deserves all the praises. I also think it’s worth mentioning just how brilliant the tech staff is. They’re professional and helpful--the best combination.

CONS: We had to manually update the restrictions for each of our staff members. It would be nice if the program came with a pre-set security settings that we can easily tweak as the need calls for it.

PROS: First of all, I think that their team is commendable. Their support staff has gone above and beyond their roles (and even their work hours) quite a few times already just to help me out. As for the program itself, I love how accessible it is--mostly just requiring a stable internet connection just to fire it up. Through it, I’ve been able to handle multiple facets of my business--from storing files, processing contracts, and even generating reports.

CONS: I have nothing but praises for this impressive program. Whenever I do encounter issues, their team is always so helpful and ready to receive feedback. They’re very responsive when it comes to addressing the needs of customers.
