Rollbar is a comprehensive solution for web and mobile apps and helps effectively track bugs and issues. Availability in multiple languages makes it easier for coders around the globe to track and monitor errors before users report them. It’s easy to setup, provides meaningful alerts and helps in quickly analyzing, diagnosing and fixing the issues.
The solution supports a all major languages, including JS, php, Ruby, .Net, WordPress as well as helps identify messaging and source code issues. Businesses of various sizes can benefit from the software as it works with all major languages and frameworks. The software pinpoints the errors and helps analyze where and why the code was broken. It makes it easier for users to manage exceptions from different platforms, frameworks and environments by providing all the data at a single location.
Show MoreRollbar works efficiently and effectively in quickly pinpointing the broken code and also collects a variety of contextual data, including affected users, URLs, detailed stack traces, environment, requested parameters and more. It allows users to review error trends based on different factors, including deployment, browser, occurrence, location, operating system, host and provides a deeper understanding. It groups errors by ‘root cause’ automatically and allows customizing grouping rules for a better visibility.
Notifications can also be easily setup for email and other services already being used so the users only get notified of errors that matter the most. The software also helps in effective distribution of tasks by creating issues in a tracker of choice and assigning them to team members automatically.
Keeping track of code deployments is another area where the software comes handy and provides a 360-degree view of the full deployment history. Rollbar kicks in after being notified of a deployment and helps understand which users experienced particular errors.
The Rollbar Query Language offers a rich querying-interface, which is similar to SQL and can be understood easily by existing users of the language. On top of other features, the Rollbar API allows creating notifiers for even more languages and provides a RESTful interface for enhanced integration. Other than exceptions, custom log messages can also be sent to Rollbar. The data is transmitted using 2048-bit SSL encryption, ensuring security and privacy.

PROS: Deploying it is really simple. A wide range of deployment scenarios is available. Great settings for alerts. Leads you to likely ignore the same "family" error. Comenting on every error is possible.
CONS: Deployment users should use Rollbar as that of Rollbar users by using the same account name. Deployment should involve an external link for our own documention during release. There are way too many updates in a a short time period. Updates should be done a lot simpler.

PROS: Its admin interface is simple to get around. There plenty of useful alerts. Its browser integration for reporting frontend JS errors is handy. Taking down items within commits is really cool. In terms of backend, it's dependable in tracking after production.
CONS: We keep our JS bundled. So certain stack traces reports are difficult to figure out. It'd be cool to have a Pretty Print and simply take a chunk at those causing the error. It'd be a bonus to have JIRA integration in assinging an issue automatically to an individual who last accessed the file (from which the error was from). Even if its interface is simple to navigate, I'd be happy to see further product functionality.

PROS: I've been making use of Sentry, TrackJS, and just about every error reporting platform out there. Nothing came close to being simple as that of Rollbar. Since I'm developer of JavaScript, error tracking plays a crucial role in my workflow. Rollbar is instrumental in tracking JS erros from the user-end across full stack application in a single unified dashboard. It's so organized and simple to use, which made things easier for me.
CONS: Its frontend JS script works wonderfully. But when it comes to side error tracking, we had to write our a customized plugin for grails. There's very little documentation available in helping us achieve this. I hear their Rails support is the best. I was hoping the same would go for their grails support.
If it wasn’t for Rollbar, everything would’ve been a mess!

PROS: The great thing with Rollbar is that it has a balanced UI. Basically, its interface lets you spot tracked errors in varying environments. These include staging, testing, and production. I like how simple it is in integrating with varying languages. Keeping track of client-side Javascrip is handy with full stack traces in showcasing what actually went wrong.
CONS: At this point in time, it's difficult to spot any negatives with Rollbar. I'm confident new features will be included soon to make the product a lot better. New language integration is always a good thing. I'd be seriouly interested if a Salesforce integration via AppExchange is available. That's an intersting functionality to have.
Critical for anything that has to do with app production.

PROS: It's really useful in quickly sniffing out bugs in production. It's able to group similar bugs and showcases a number of useful info regarding incidents both the front-end and back-end portions of the apps. It's simple to integrate into any of your apps. It's simple to plug into Slack or whichever tools you currently own. Their API is nice.
CONS: It's super easy to go beyond your plan via runaway events. At times, it would group unrelated bugs together. Ingegration on the front-end still needs improving. Third party plugins for different frameworks may entail added support.
A crash reporting tool priced reasonably.

PROS: Rollbar is the best crash reporting tool in the market. It only takes a couple steps for code implementation in having its services integrated with my app. Its line of code functions in the blink of an eye, which led to an error as a result of double clicking it. Its dashboard makes it all the more possible to sort out traces of error in getting a thorough analysis of prioritized issues. It assisted in keeping me from experiencing production instance errors --- thanks to its real-time notifications in offering comprehensive error reports and traces.
CONS: Even if I've yet to utilize a bulk of its features, it appears there's a problem with its mute feature. It barely works. I also want to see a help doc. I want to specify essential features since it's not really feasbile to comprehend and utilize all dashboard features.

PROS: Swift alerts whenever your software isn't functioning that most users expect. Rather than losing out on errors in a big log, Rollbar offers a really nice listing. It lets you manage things in a number of ways. It's nice having a method that can spot users in every request. It lets you monitor and see if a defined user is going through a bad experience in your software due to errors or errors being received.
CONS: The only confusing aspect comes down to dealing with projects and teams. It seems they're way too tied up together. Its UI isn't at all clear. I still feel this area needs improvement. For instance, it's hard to visit a dashboard unless a project is involved.

PROS: It constantly keeps me updated on any system errors. Alerts are available for any new erors encountered. It does a great job seeking trends with potential edge cases that slipped through the cracks during unit testing. It's a really great app to have.
CONS: It could use some improvement. More metrics should be added. Certain competitors have reported on environment metrics. This can be helpful in getting errors to be put on context.

PROS: I love Rollbar since it gives me the ability to gather details of my app's errors. This includes affected users, URL data, parameters, and stack traces. It's simple to carry out and integrate within my code, thanks to their API. What I love with Rollbar is having the ability to analyze user errors swiftly. It also offers comprehensive info on all reports that a user may have expeienced.
CONS: There are a pletora of features seen within Rollbar. When I took a quick glance at the dashboard, I found out that some of its functionality were of no use to me. Therefore, it would be great if Rollbar can have some sort of documentation that showcasing some basic features. That is, feasture required for testing services. The rest are added features for anyone to try.
