Salesforce Commerce Cloud is great platform that provides great infrastructure and software foundation for building e-shop. You can get quickly to the market and start selling goods right away, it has great customer base. They constantly update the platform and they always release new and useful features and improvements. You can easily implement popular 3rd party integrations similar to payment processors. I like that the platform is PCI DSS certified and that the code development is done in Java language and it is extremely easy to use.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

You might run into some limitations if you want to customize sites and to work independently of any circumstances on your web sites. But the good thing is, that there is constant support and updates with useful features.
