What are the best aspects of this product?
The integration with Salsa Engage (email & marketing) is, far and away, the best aspect of Salsa, but there are many other platforms that can do this for far less money. Imports are straightforward and there is simple way to global update- ie add all in an import to a Salsa Engage group.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
Salsa CRM is not intuitive or easy to use, limiting the use within our organization to one staff person (NOT what you want in a donor platform or CRM). Manual data entry is clunky and time consuming. The built in formats emphasize services we don't offer/ info we don't need to collect and seem better suited to a very large fundraising enterprise. It is very difficult to customize data fields in a way that is easy for others to see and use. There is a limit to how many customizable fields you can have. It is way overpriced. Customer service is almost nonexistent. They couldn't even send the bill to the right place. They locked us in for a 3 year contract and we got very little value from that contract. The charge s are not upfront, hidden additional fees. Running a report is time consuming, repetitive, and not intuitive. Should I continue?
What features/services would you like to see in future versions of this product?
None. I will not use this product again. I inherited this contract when I started my job and have been waiting out our contract since about a month in.
