What are the best aspects of this product?
What I like most is the fact that every aspect of the product is configurable starting from creating groups for various levels of user access to creating various types of purchases. We run multiple Ariba modules and once you set it up the flow between the module is seamless. The set up of Contract Workspace can be invoiced in P2P and you have the data categorized and captured in Spend Viz.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
For those who are not procurement minded the tool might be unintuitive. They could make the UI more simpler and it is not easy to train someone without previous experience. I have to train users through every step from requisition to invoicing and as far as I can tell this is not easiest thing to do.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
We didn’t use purchasing process before Ariba and now we can experience all the benefits that this software offers. It provides us with lot of visibility to where the money are going and what projects we have done and what projects are in progress and everything about invoices, billing, purchasing and shipping.
