PROS & CONS

What are the best aspects of this product?

It has everything you need to customize, configure and code the system to fit your needs. The integration part of this is seamless and allows you to access data in the model for your enterprise systems. It is also Java Script and XML based to give the perfect feel and experience in using the tool. What we loved most about is the fact that it can integrate easily with most of our system applications to suit the enterprise needs. With the idea of integration from the backend, it means that we can configure the system and create customizations that address our needs and those of the institution in full.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

It has always been the go to tool when it comes to efficiency. However, it user interface is not that powerful let alone friendly. This has become a major problem for most users even after they tried to solve this problem with the open user interface. I did not work. The solution to this is that you have to leverage other external user interfaces in order to get the best experience. You can borrow from the Web based 2.0 version or XML data sources to get the utmost feel of what the tool has to offer. Despite it not having an intuitive user interface, you can get more than enough from this product.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

Before e adopted this tool for our solutions, there were a lot of copyright claims in waiting and this had buildup. Luckily, we were able to slice this entire backlog and take control of the process thanks to the Oracle Seibel tool. It helps to quickly process copyright registrations in the congress within a short time and with minimum effort. Before this, the system we used was manual which as characterized by a large backlog of registration claims waiting to be processed. As a result, it helped increase workflow as the library of congress was no longer flooded with those claims.
