What are the best aspects of this product?
Were you aware of all the things systems can do for you when well-integrated? Ever since I discovered SilkRoad, I've been observing a marvelous data transfer and I still can't believe I'm not the brainy one behind it. I also like the simplicity, fantastic updates, and reliable customer support (they offer valuable annual conferences you should definitelly attend!).
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
If I have to choose one thing to expose as negative, it would be communication. I mean, it's not bad, but I've seen much better. While the outrageous number of emails sent by the program are good in some cases, they are just too overwhelming in others. Just the other day I received a phone call from an applicant informing me that the support line was not working (imagine, I had to receive this information from an applicant!). I contacted customer care to see what it was about, and i found out that was true for a while already (and I was suddenly in charge of troubleshooting a problem I didn't even knew I had!). The customer team gave me tips (but only after asking for them), and I really made it clear for them that this type of problems should be prevented, rather than cured.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
We use the program for so many activities on campus that I cannot think of a particular problem we've solved. It is our haven for hiring people, both for full-time and part-time employment.
