What are the best aspects of this product?
When it comes to inventory management, we were looking for a solution that offered the flexibility we needed. Skubana provided that for us and more. It is a web-based solution which means we can manage inventory regardless of where we are. Since we started using it, we are happy in terms of how we carry out our business operations. We do not have to worry about accessing the tool as it is not a software which is installed in a single computer in the office. The web-based platform gives us more exposure and flexibility for our inventory operations which is a plus.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
It is a long road, but Skubana has made it even shorter. However, there are few bugs that need fixing despite it being a reliable tool in inventory management. There are features which are missing and it has a few glitches that can slow down how well we make the best use of the product. Luckily, they have a great and responsive customer support which takes care of all the queries of its users. We have had some issues fixed while others we were given assurance that they are in the process of fixing them in future. They are also strict in terms of how we use the product in managing inventory. It does not allow one to send an order to a customer if your inventory level is 0. This is however a good thing as we do not want to send an order and then there is nothing for the customer to receive as we have run out of stock.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
It has come to help us in terms of how we operate and manage inventory. We had to go through 30 applications before we came to Skubana and settled there. This tool offers reliable stock management for my business by helping us to manage the quantity of inventory in more than one, sales channels. With real time tracking of how much is left as stock, we are able to avoid overselling. Once you reach a stock level of 0, you cannot sell anymore or take an order from a customer. This helps to improve customer service as customers pay or order for what is in store and thus limited frustrations. We are yet to utilize the product in our purchase ordering but once we do this, we can expect to save time and money.
