What are the best aspects of this product?

It's smooth integration with our web's CMS allows us to translate really fast. One feature, the fact translator, can quickly identify if we change a copy on site. This is very useful because we're doing a lot of switches between info and messages. It's wide-range of language support is helpful too.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

The onboarding process' speed wasn't impressive. It must be noted, however, that Smartling's Contentful connector was still on beta at that point. Also, accurasy-wise, the translation's quality is perfect. But it needs guidance when delivering the right marketing message tone which is extra hard for small companies that don't have multilingual personnel.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

As a mid-sized company with quite limited resources, we mostly use Smartling as a management platform when we translate our content into different languages. It's also ideal for us because it only needs one manager after onboarding, which is me btw. Whenever we need translation jobs on the fly, this program is always good to go.
