What are the best aspects of this product?
Stripe can be easily integrated with various languages, it takes few minutes to set it up and provides great test environments, and we are ensured that the payments work perfectly even before pushing to production. The payment software is reliable, its support team is highly responsive and always there to help you fix the problem. I had an issue because the update broke the api and we found out that the problem is edge-case but no matter that they were really gentle to help.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
Stripe offers discounts if you use subscription but if you use charges for non-subscription based services then the discount coupons don’t exist. Also, I miss an option to send direct invoice to client. According to their documentation this option is available but it could be much easier for business users. I think that the main focus of this product is on the subscriptions. Additionally, I feel forced to use the stripe javascript and this can be frustration especially if you want to do the server-side payments.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
Stripe is great tool for accepting payments, the dashboard is nice and straightforward. It offers other things but I haven’t used them by now.
