It is not my first time to use SuccessFactors, it has been my faithful partner in almost every company I worked for. It solved many HR problems I had, and I was absolutely satisified with the quality.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

The only part that will exhaust you is implementation, everything else is easy. What you really need to do is to hire professional help, or at least to rely on their support the get the job done.
