PROS: It notifies me whenever my returns are filed. Furthermore, it has a dashboard that is very simple to use. Their support team also did a great job in assisting us with our inquiries.

CONS: I hope it can lessen the notifications where I have to file taxes in states where I should not be filing in.

PROS: Using a new platform can be confusing. It is a good thing that we've found the perfect business partner for it - TaxJar. Their customer service staff are very friendly and accomodating. They are always willing to help us fix any issues or help us navigate the platform.

CONS: At times, we've found that there are inconsistencies between the documentation and the API. But, according to TaxJar, they are working to solve this soon.

PROS: It has a good support team that is very much willing to help us with our inquiries. It also has a good Auto-File feature.

CONS: It can lag when you first set-up states in Auto-File, but once you get it up, it runs smoothly.

PROS: We were able to save time and money. Hiring accountants can be costly, especially if we don't have the accounting knowledge to do it ourselves. TaxJar was able to help us with this. It is very easy to use and it automatically calculates our sales tax.

CONS: I hope there can be better integration between TaxJar and Amazon. Since California sends a paper letter with codes, it is quite confusing to enter it one by one. Though I understand that this is not TaxJar's fault, I would love it if they can find a way to make it easier for us.

PROS: TaxJar presented us a software that is very functional and easy to use. We can check our sales tax without any problem and it even notifies us if we need to file a sales tax permit in a certain state.

CONS: We hope that they can add more descriptions for each state so we can check if we are fulfilling every requirement. We also would love it if there could be an improvement throughout the support team process.

PROS: Its user-friendly interface makes working easier for us. And if we encounter any issue, their customer support is always there to help us. They also have a good back feature.

CONS: Sales tax can be difficult for anyone. We encountered a bad set-up on one state and it was not detected readily. We hope TaxJar can improve that.

PROS: It is a very smooth and efficient tool with monthly or quarterly fillings.

CONS: I hope the team can inform new clients of the importance of AutoFile set-up.

PROS: Their customer service is superb. We were able to integrate well with their AP because of their responsive team.

CONS: They should have phone support for their basic plan, so it can be an easier process for both their team and the client.

PROS: It has a very simple and easy to use interface, and their customer service is great.

CONS: I can't integrate it with Netsuite.

PROS: From the onboarding to the implementation, TaxJar's team had been there to support us every step of the way. They were comprehensive and knowledgeable, making it easier for us to set-up the platform. The overall interface is also simple, making it easy to navigate.

CONS: We hope that there will be a Stripe subscription integration, so it'll be easier for us to plug-and-play.

PROS: TaxJar simplifies the otherwise bothersome and tedious task of tax filing. The platform itself is very intuitive and the customer service is absolutely top-notch. Kudos to the team for always game to answering even my most mundane questions.

CONS: I have nothing negative to say about TaxJar--it's the best!

PROS: TaxJar is a convenient tool that falls under the first tier of our workflow. We are a team of accountants and we use this to do initial checks and filing. Of course, we still maintain audits to make sure that everything is accurate and accounted for. So far, we have had a good working relationship with TaxJar. It saves us a lot of time and is more accurate compared to its competitors such as Avalara and Taxify. We've never missed a deadline ever since implementing this into our workflow. Our team members have had no issues in learning this program too. And finally, the team that works behind TaxJar is competent and is always ready to answer any query and address any issue.

CONS: I have several technical issues that I would like to call out. First of all, I wish that TaxJar would allow us to distinguish between the tax that has been files versus what has been collected. This becomes quite an issue in certain regions where our clients operate their businesses in because they might be exempt for tax filing of certain products. Another issue that I have is the exclusivity of product tax codes. Sure, these can be useful but they seem to only be available on Amazon and Shopify. I wish we were given the option to add these in other platforms too. Also, TaxJar seems to cater exclusively to eCommerce, preferably retail, businesses. It discriminates product-oriented companies such as IT products and the like. I think that they would have a wider clientele if they expanded their capabilities. Businesses that run heavily on resales of products aren't well-supported as well. And speaking of support, I think that TaxJar would do well if they established a team that can respond quickly to issues at any time. I suggest that they set-up a 24/7 support team that can be contacted via phone and email.

PROS: What I like about TaxJar is that it ties in all of the elements that I look for in a tax processing solution--affordable, accurate, and has great support. Sure, there are a dozen of options out there, but this is the one that caters to my business' needs best. There's a small learning hump at the start while you set this up, but once you have everything running, things should go smoothly. Their support team is very efficient and attentive too.

CONS: There is a call for TaxJar to localize its processing steps to match the tax policies of various regions. Of course, this is still useful to me but it would be nice if I would be spared the extra visit or call to the local tax office to verify the specific requirements that our city needs. I also have an issue with the consolidation of tax filing and payment steps. I wish that these would be two separate processes.

PROS: I was looking for accounting options--to either do the grunt work myself or to hire an accountant to do our accounting for us. Both solutions weighed heavily to me because the former was tedious and the latter was costly. TaxJar came at a crucial point. It is user-friendly and it does its job well and accurately. I'm glad I came across this solution.

CONS: In the initial stages of importing sales data from Amazon, we did run across some issues. However, this isn't entirely TaxJar's problem. Rather, this issue has more to do with the region's sales tax policies more than anything.
