What are the best aspects of this product?
It helped us to increase visibility of the cases and runs we tested. The fact that you can test runs and cases, in different tabs, one at a time increases efficiency of the tool. We were able to keep everything in check with the quality assurance team. All documentations of past tests could be retrieved which offered a better view of the tests which were yet to be carried out. In short, it made our work easier as could trace everything and avoid repeating tests.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
At first, it was difficult to get around the system in terms of how it works and the features in place. It has a learning curve if you have never used such a tool before. However, when you get the hang of things, everything is smooth and you can make the best use of the product for your tracking and testing roles. After we found our way around the features, it lived up to our expectations.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
It helped improve team collaboration. Our teams could now work hand in hand and complement others’ efforts and work instead of repeating what one has already done. It can be difficult to keep track and communicate as a team if you are undertaking the same project. Luckily, with TestRail, we came out just fine and repetition of tasks was no more. Our team could communicate well and organize tasks in a professional manner which resulted in consistent workflow.
