PROS & CONS

What are the best aspects of this product?

TestRail is great in providing reports among other outputs that we can follow throughout test runs, so we can stay on track for each task. It also has handy milestones and easily integrates with other platforms. For example, we use TestRail with JIRA for detecting bugs in each test case, and we use it with Confluence for generating detailed documentation. Overall, it helps me manage each release throughout different test processes.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

Creating test cases takes a lot of time, and the platform doesn’t import files that carry test cases generated by different tools. Generating and handling some functions are difficult when done with a team.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

TestRail reliably handles different file versioning for the tests we conduct. This is great because we have lots of test cases for each app, and TestRail helps us spot particular test cases depending on the app where they belong. It supports teamwork tasks too, since all members of a team can easily check pending, progress and accomplished among other vital info on the panel. It works well with other essential tools that help in bolstering its functionality, such as improving its quality assurance processes. Before, we use MS Excel for the job, and it is really problematic in terms of syncing info. TestRail has helped us get a better grasp of these things.
