PROS: TunnelBear is a cost- and user-friendly software. You can use it on multiple devices. It connects fast and it automatically assigns you the least used IP address. With the paid version, you get unlimited secure browsing. This makes it extremely convenient to download files. Overall, TunnelBear is one of the best among its competitors in the market.

CONS: I would like TunnelBear better if it will allow for a capacity enough for the users to fully access if it will work for them during the trial period. I availed the free version and sadly I wasn’t able to determine if this software will fit my needs then. It was a good thing that I invested with the full version. It worked extremely well for me.

PROS: Latency is average, upload/download is above average and streaming is quite good. For the average user this VPN gets the job down, streaming movies, sending huge files and downloading them. There’ll be minor glitches since it has only 20 servers spread across the world, but the lag time is barely noticeable

CONS: I did have a few instances of streaming gaps while watching YouTube HD. Couldn’t pinpoint though if that’s my ISP, VPN or my PC.

PROS: It’s based in Canada so that gives me a bit of security knowing I can go after it should something sinister happens. Overall, TunnelBear is one of the more serious providers where they keep their promises. They say it’s easy to use and true, I got it up and running in seconds. I needed to contact them for my free 1GB and I got a reply on the same day. The terms are clear, too, no hidden fees or ads. A pretty reliable VPN for me.

CONS: I couldn’t get hold of their technical support on time when I needed it.

PROS: No hidden fees, the terms are transparent. They even outright declare you can’t use it for pirated streaming (now that’s honest) and they don’t hide the fact they only have 900 server locations (they’re putting up more). And the guys are in Canada not in some Caribbean town out of reach of legal regulations. Overall, I trust this VPN service with my money.

CONS: Nothing much to say here, just the number of server locations. Just check if they got the countries you’re targeting and you’re good to go.

PROS: TunnelBear has a free version good for up to 500MB of data per month. Not bad if you only do sensitive transactions once or twice monthly.

CONS: Limited countries, around 900 server locations. But I only need the U.S., U.K., Australia and Canada, so I’m okay with it. By the way Australia is not included in the free plan.
