What are the best aspects of this product?

UltrEdit happens to be a powerhouse text editor in the market. It's really great in terms of configuration, flexibility, and quickness. Ideal for handling large files that other third party editors can't handle. It's more than just an editor for web developers and programmers. Thanks to its UTF support, I've been using it to edit/look into small files that happen to be available in other languages.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

Pricing can be quite steep. I recommend purchasing it for those who are hardcore users and who wants the "best of the best." If you happen to be starting out or you have no clue how a text editor works, then this is something that's not for you. I'd often tell everyone who made an UltraEdit purchase to go for the lifetime upgrade option (free). If I require a text editor for the long term, then UltraEdit will really save you plenty of effort and time.

It's capable of large file editing. It can find and replace. Comes with FTP support. Has its own plain text editor. A column mode support with functionality.
