What are the best aspects of this product?
Upserve POS is a cloud-based system. This proved to be very useful because even if I'm not at the restaurant, I can still update or change the menu items. The platform also helps you pinpoint areas of opportunity so improving your sales became an easy task for us. And most importantly, their support team is very helpful.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
The offline mode is quite difficult for us, especially during peak hours. Having only one iPad that has all our menu is not ideal as it can be quite confusing to keep track of everything. We have to create duplicate items in order to resolve this problem, making it difficult to track reports. Discounted items that are not scheduled to appear yet, also appear when you search it. This makes it hard for our servers.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
I was able to develop my business based on integrity. Things like theft can be avoided because I can track what my employees are doing. I can also see how they are doing, so helping them improve is not a problem. The reports are also useful when it comes to checking which items are the most in-demand.
