Upserve (formerly Upserve Breadcrumb POS) is an all-in-one restaurant management suite that provides businesses with virtually all the tools they need to help improve their operational efficiency, including workforce management, sales reports and analytics, tableside ordering, inventory management and an advanced POS solution.

It also allows users to take advantage of having a robust cloud-based management platform, boosting the capabilities of their managers by allowing them to continue their work even outside the office. PROS: Easy to use system, from the front of the house to back office use

CONS: Customer support is terrible. Have 5 iPads and were told to keep them plugged in with their chargers since they trickle charge. Now all of my iPads are separating from the screens and will not hold a charge and keep going off line. One person informed us that we should keep them plugged in and another said we shouldn’t. They will not take responsibility for the repair. This system has been a nightmare since we’ve had it

PROS: Back of house system to review checks, sales and everything else is quick and easy and does not require remoting into a server.

CONS: The system could use a better method of notification if there is a loss of internet connectivity and a credit card that is "authorized" offline comes back as decline after the processor is back online.

PROS: Offline mode functionality is so crucial. A new-hire can be fully versed in the system within 2 training shifts. The back office functionality is second to none.

PROS: I love all the backend reporting features of Upserve. It\'s really robust and helps me manage our restaurant by staying in touch with labor, best selling items, etc. Also their customer service is fantastic. I asked a question through the chat feature and they answered my question and resolved my issue within 5 minutes.

CONS: The KDS has some quirky things that make tickets re-fire in certain circumstances.

PROS: Breadcrumb is very easy to use. It takes about a half hour to train new users which is wonderful with new hires. There is very little downtime and when there is, offline mode works well.

PROS: Being able to update back end and see reports from anywhere has been very useful. Grub hub and online integration are very helpful at saving labor and speeding order times.

PROS: For restaurants with dedicated servers, this company has amazing analytics about what your servers are selling and who your best sellers are.

CONS: If you have multiple servers accessing a single tab, the analytics are inaccurate as the ticket gets assigned to the individual closing the tab, not those that added product to it. There isn't a report for "No Sale" drawer opens. This is such an easy fix. I'm not sure why it isn't there.

PROS: Ease of making updates and changes. Being able to make price/ item changes on the fly that are reflected immediately is very advantageous to my business.

PROS: My favorite part about Upserve is the app that I use on my phone. I get live sales information, including labor, voids, and discounts. I am better able to manage labor and find out about deletions. I can also compare sales to the prior week or year, so it gives me a good idea of how we're doing, and allows us to project sales and manage labor better.

CONS: I think that our overall credit card merchant processing fees are high, and customer service is not always immediately available or able to respond to requests.

PROS: Excellent reports functions with easily manipulable variables. Competitive processing fees. Smooth UI

CONS: The app tends to go into something of a "sleep mode" causing it to go into an offline mode which limits functionality and occasionally drops payments.

PROS: The interface is very attractive and user-friendly. The online support articles are very thorough and if questions are not fully answered there, their on call support team is super helpful and follows up to make sure their solutions worked.

CONS: There are a few things that could use work- the system for gathering reports based on times is very wonky with their “day parts”.

PROS: Easy to use system, from the front of the house to back office use

CONS: Customer support is terrible. Have 5 iPads and were told to keep them plugged in with their chargers since they trickle charge. Now all of my iPads are separating from the screens and will not hold a charge and keep going off line. One person informed us that we should keep them plugged in and another said we shouldn’t. They will not take responsibility for the repair. This system has been a nightmare since we’ve had it
