What are the best aspects of this product?
The most distinctive advantage is simple navigation, both for us, who edit offers, and end users who get a deal on the fly. Our marketing team is delighted by the possibility to support particular product pages with videos, to do some depth-adding personalization and customization, but most of all to rely on already settled SEO issues. Marketing is, in fact, the strongest aspect of this program, since the APIs enable integration with almost every social platform-you can sell on eBay, Amazon, Facebook, or create your own unique deals, coupons, menu promotions, MyAwards, gift cards, discounts, etc.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
There is a lot left to desire in Volusion, but I believe it is all a matter of time. Mobile responsiveness can be improved, for instance (they can follow WordPress's example), and so can customer support. They are knowledgeable, that's true, but that doesn't mean they're fast. I often get frustrated by the fact that I am waiting for days, and it gets particualrly bad when they don't have a solution for my problem.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
Handling our insanely large SKU database, uploading and editing HQ images in no time, and definitely embeding videos on some of our product pages. That's pretty much what Volusion did for us.
