Voluum Review

PROS: Somewhat easy to use if you use major affiliate networks.

CONS: I had long conversations with Aleksander from Voluum. A rude person that told me I should blame myself. Story behind it was that I needed to track conversions from Website A to Website B. I contacted Aleksander and explained my case. After the payment of 135 USD the onboarding started and went fine until I got told that there is no way to track the actual conversions. You can track a set amount , e.g. 7 USD, but if there is 2 products in the cart or if the price changes on Website B you have to redo the tracking pixel to suit the price. Voluum suggested that I would for each new e-commerce platform code a listener that would take the dynamic price and input into Voluum. With over 20 major e-commerce services in Sweden only, there would be more costs involved to have a programmer code a listener to output the total conversion than we actually make in commission. Google Analytics can do this but Voluum can not. Already after 20 minutes of the onboarding I asked to cancel my subscription which was met with an incredible rudeness and unproffessionalism. He basically told me that Voluum does everything I want if I code a listener to the total sales price. A programmer costs around 100 eur per hour in Sweden and there are 20 major e-commerce services, that would make the cost of using Voluum around 2000 eur. If we code our own listeners, Voluum would be abundant anyway. They knew my case from the beginning and for weeks Aleksanders only focus was to make me pay the 135 USD. Very bad experience. This is a typical company that has as only interest to get money from you without taking responsibility in wether their service works or not.

PROS: Nothing. Just waste of money. Don't try it. Stay away from this scam company.

CONS: Everything s problem there, pricing, setup, tracking. Even they can't track my sales. My network shows I got a sale but they don't show. According to voluum I got 14 Sales of but according to my network I got 22 sales!

PROS: The tracker itself is OK. But it's way overpriced for what it does. They were decent when they had Free plans, and even the $99/mo plan was reasonable, but with the recent price TRIPLING out of the blue, with absolutely NO WARNING WHATSOEVER, you are now paying around $300 per month for basic service. Comparable trackers (like RedTack) are available at less than 1/10th the price.

CONS: Absolute scam of a company. They are SO concerned about grabbing a few dollars from the customers who got them to where they are today, they won't honor refunds, they make it IMPOSSIBLE to close your account, and they keep billing you even when they have claimed they won't. The most recent price TRIPLE out of the blue was so confusing for existing clients, Voluum never fully explained to customers what was going to happen with accounts, so people who thought their accounts were going to be CLOSED because they didnt agree to new price changes are now getting their CC's charged with $300-$800 payments for the current month they didn't even agree to!
