PROS & CONS

What are the best aspects of this product?

The user interface is excellent and comparable to popular social networks. It is easy to learn and use the app. Our business has gained a lot as Workfront offer a single, easily accessible system that contains all information about portfolios and projects.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

The main drawback is you only have limited ability to customize the software. Looking on the brighter side, this could even be a benefit as otherwise the software can become too complex. Another grouse I have is the vendor’s development team is slow to respond to minor issues.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

Before Workfront, we were using a motley collection of Project and Excel files and Power Point presentations to manage our portfolios and projects. Plus, our team used to spend a lot of time in meetings to get project updates. Workfront offers a standardized collection of information on portfolios and projects and gives a quick snapshot of the status of projects to managers. Now, we don’t have to waste our time in meetings to get project updates.
