What are the best aspects of this product?
We are currently using Workplace By Facebook for the past five years for all of our company branches because we find this platform more effective than what we have a few years back. All workers from the top management, supervisory to rank, and file must be aware of what’s going on with the company. Using the Messenger app is one of the fastest ways to collaborate with team members, especially those from other locations or branches. I can send messages and expect responses in real-time, which is very important to keep the business smoothly running if I need to make an urgent inquiry or clarify something from a colleague. I can always do a video call that is less costly than a regular long-distance call. All of our employees have access to Workplace By Facebook through their computers or cellphones. So they can always browse through their news feeds or check out their inbox for any urgent messages.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
I would like to see some great improvements in the cellphone app. I barely use it because its always slow, so I’d instead log in to the web page using my computer to see all the news feeds.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
We have a lot of branches to manage that are located across different continents, and Workplace by Facebook has provided us with the ultimate solution to our communication needs. All employees are connected using this platform. At the same time, we use it to disseminate important information across all of our branches and post any of our team’s successes for everyone to see. I think it's a great platform to recognize your best performers as well.
