What are the best aspects of this product?

For the past years, I’ve been working non-stop to look for a tool that can help our organization become more efficient and collaborative. Since Facebook is one of the world’s top social media platforms, I decided to check if it could offer something for companies. I discovered the existence of the Workplace by Facebook, which took me by surprise because it was made to promote effective employee collaboration regardless of location. Since our offices are located in different parts of the world, I can say that the Workplace by Facebook has played a significant role in keeping all employees well aware of whats going on. It even allows you to create separate conversations with different teams or departments to ensure that everyone knows what to do and how to finish tasks efficiently. Because of the pandemic, most of us are in work from home setting, and we are glad that we can rely on the Workplace by Facebook all the time.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

Adding privacy settings on each profile would be a great suggestion. But since this option is not available at the moment, I guess employees have to be more careful about what they post online. All posts are made public, so self-awareness and self-control must be practiced all the time.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

I rely on this app to help me send updates to different departments each day. It’s very effective because most people are aware of what’s going on, thus making them more proactive. We use this platform to motivate our staff by uploading performance awardees as well as performance metrics online. I realized that being recognized publicly is one of the best ways to boost morale in the workplace, and Facebook is doing great in this job.
