PROS: There are so many things to like about this product. One is that it provides excellent performance in terms of threat detection. Second is that it's free because it is open source. Lastly, it's filled with the latest news, updates, and trends that keep you in the loop.

CONS: The user interface is not within my expectations. But I cannot complain that much because I haven’t shelled out any money for the tool.

PROS: It helps your company develop a set of security rules that would benefit the majority and continue to remain compliant.

CONS: I cannot open other tabs aside from what I currently have. I would risk losing all my pre-set filters and start configuring from scratch.

PROS: It can detect vulnerable elements that can harm your entire system. It works well for all our existing servers.

CONS: Sometimes the program works slow, making me worried because it could be an opportunity for hackers to take over. Also, the activity logs should be updated more often than the usual.

PROS: OSSIM makes you safe and protected from potential hackers that could ruin your company as well as your image. You can go home at the end of each working day without having to worry about what could happen to your system and hardware while you are out of the office. The good thing is that OSSIM is known to work non stop to deliver their clients' needs.

CONS: Generally speaking, I like most of the features that this product has to offer. However, I have noticed that it does not provide automatic system updates, probably because it's free. Also, the customer service team is not that responsive, so you need to learn how OSSIM works to overcome challenges even if you are on your own.

PROS: This security platform is not complicated at all. It is one of my favorites so far.

CONS: I am trying to determine if there is anything that I don’t like. But I highly recommend that they should improve their integration capability so it could accommodate more tools.

PROS: Familiarizing yourself with OSSIM is not difficult at all. It keeps intruders away for good.

CONS: OSSIM is the perfect Cybersecurity tool for my company.

PROS: Simplicity and yet powerful are two of OSSIM’s best strengths when it comes to threat protection. It does a fantastic job of scanning all internal tools and software that we are running daily. What makes OSSIM attractive is that you don’t have to pay to secure it since it is an open-source program.

CONS: The downside of using this platform is that you won’t pull up any reports that you would need for your analysis. Also, the log monitoring app has only a specific capacity to handle, which means that you have to keep on checking it before the system deletes it after reaching its threshold.

PROS: The learning curve is fast and easy. I just sat with my tech team and went through how the product works.

CONS: Upgrading the user interface is necessary to ensure the entire system would be free from bothersome pop-ups.

PROS: Very informative and great added resource for IT staff and managers. All the data is presented in a way that’s easy to understand.

CONS: Downtime does happen, especially if there are too many apps running simultaneously in the background.

PROS: It may be free, but it can perform just like any other paid security protection software that’s out there in the market.

CONS: A steep learning curve, but it is quite expected since we are talking out technical knowledge here. Eventually, you’ll get the hang of things, and everything will be okay.

PROS: I was surprised by how the dashboard looks like. Everything is well placed and very organized. We will be using this tool to help acquire our ISO certification soon.

CONS: This tool cannot be learned in just one or two days. If you are committed to utilizing OSSIM, you need to give your IT staff ample time to learn how this system works. If you have the budget, hire a trainer to walk them through and expedite the learning curve.

PROS: The app is capable of providing several layers of security controls to all our apps and network servers. It makes it easier for our IT Team to detect if someone is trying to get into our system. Real-time alerts are being sent, and updates on the dashboards will ensure that everything is well guarded.

CONS: It is not recommended to entry-level devices because it eats up too much space. I tried using it on a 4GB RAM unit, but I’ve been experiencing latency on my end. It is good that our company can afford to invest in high-end computers so we can install various types of platforms to enhance our workflow and provide added security measures.

PROS: If you are looking for a software that you can trust to protect your business 24/7, OSSIM is a pretty good choice.

CONS: Been using the free version, but it lacks features that I’m looking for.

PROS: Ther is no need to have some hi-tech coding skills to get the program up and running. It’s working perfectly, and no issues so far.

CONS: Collecting a large amount of relevant information can be time-consuming. But it's a common issue that most Cybersecurity tools go through.
