ARCHICAD Review

PROS: Archicad was not troublesome to deploy and implement. It is great to use in any and all kinds of designing and drawing, even if it is 3D. It can even work with files from other applications for additional editing. Plus, they have a fantastic support team.

CONS: It has a steep price. Aside from that, there is no problem.

PROS: An innovative architecture software that does not stop rolling out new tools and features despite having reached maturity. It works wonderfully with large projects because it can adjust to scaling needs smoothly. That is why I will choose this over other packages any day.

CONS: Archicad may want to enhance the rendering feature by integrating ones used in high-end games. This would abstract the need for plugins and separate modules for the task. Also, it is similarly priced to its competitors.

PROS: Archicad's cloud-based BIM is helpful in collaboration. Because of it, we can complete projects faster and with each other's inputs. We also appreciate that it has comprehensive and high-quality building documentation and quantity calculations. On top of it all, it has great attribute controls.

CONS: It is so full featured that I cannot even begin to use every feature.

PROS: Archicad is truly for the architect because of its wide range of drawing and editing options. It makes navigating the workspace easy with the accessible menu, keyboard shortcuts, and toolbars. It can even handle large projects and still provide users with the flexibility they need. This can be seen in the way it supports numerous formats, allowing teams and external partners to collaborate without a hitch. Overall, it is an intuitive software that provides you with everything you need.

CONS: Archicad designers should think about adding more tools to it. It would help very much if we can transfer standard details into a project. Aside from that, there are great tools that are difficult to configure and customize. We spend a lot of time on them just to get them to work as we need.

PROS: There are no constraints in the modeling, drawing, and editing processes. They are also made more enjoyable by intuitive features such as shortcut keys. It has great rendering too. And I also enjoy its seamless navigation of 3D models.

CONS: The broad options can be overwhelming and there are times when you can't figure out what setting you need to change.

PROS: I can count on ARCHICAD to generate accurate building documentation and render drawings.

CONS: It lacks third-party integrations because there aren't a lot of users in the United States.

PROS: Modeling and rendering are swift processes on the software. It is easy to use as well because of its customizability. I also experience its user-friendliness a lot when I am working with 2D and 3D images. Because of it, I can come up with drawings quickly.

CONS: Archicad has advanced features that requires the knowledge and hand of a person already familiar with it.

PROS: It always releases new features every year that enhance its already great tools. One that I appreciate is the stair tool that can come up with any stair design imaginable. Because of it and other tools, presenting designs to clients is so much better. Our collaboration is also changed because of this. What's more, it has a top-of-the-line documentation capability that lets us produce drawings for every element. Plus, some of its functions behave similarly to SketchUp, which we appreciate.

CONS: I wish Archicad would add a wide array of features like interoperability, open integration with third-party tools, more robust dimensioning capabilities, user-friendly custom parametry object design, Vray or Corona support, cloud storage, and an alert as to what is new in every update.

PROS: Archicad is a full-featured software. Despite that, it is easy to use that I can find the right design for a client while maintaining the functionality of the building. Presenting designs to clients is a breeze also because of the 3D feature that lets me explore the space. This gives clients an idea of what the building would look like inside and out even before they take shape physically. I also appreciate that printing and PDF manipulation are easy to do on the platform.

CONS: Progress can be stunted because of Archicad's lack of ability to lock down items. For example, I wan to work on other elements but I keep moving walls I do not want to move in the first place. Apart from that, I have no other complaints.

PROS: Archicad is top-notch when it comes to user-friendliness because it has labels for its features and makes sure that users are well aware of what tools do before they apply them on items on the design. It is a great tool for small firms that lets them showcase their design to clients in both 2D and 3D to give them a feel for the end product.

CONS: Clients demand to have designs that are trending. However, Archicad is slow in updating its toolset, making it difficult for us to meet clients' requirements.

PROS: Archicad is an intuitive software that produces awesome designs. It is designed specifically to the workflow of an architect so there is no difficulty in adopting it fully. And despite the simplicity of its tools, they are capable of grand designs. Moreover, it supports teamwork fantastically. No data is lost even if several people work on a project simultaneously.

CONS: It would be nice to have more 3D modeling options such as in the wall and slab tools. Split-screen views and on-screen editing of composites and shapes would be amazing too as well as modeling constraints.

PROS: Archicad is a wonderful software that helps me create 3D designs quickly. It has great tools for model management as well and you can find other features you need on its interface. It is a cut above other similar programs because it has a more affordable price tag. This is an awesome advantage for solo designers and small firms. Overall, I can say that it is the architecture software I have worked with.

CONS: Archicad functions well though it has some features that are old. Other than that, I have no problem with it.

PROS: Creating building plans with Archicad is really a breeze because of the easy keyboard shortcuts available. The renders it produces are also amazing.

CONS: A computer must have high specs to run Archicad properly.
