What is Commons?

Commons is a lightweight collaboration application that works with Slack to give remote teams an easier and faster way to communicate, coordinate, and work together. You can quickly connect the app to your workspaces and channels in Slack with just a single click. Once it’s successfully added to Slack, your team members then can access your Commons spaces using their existing Slack accounts and login credentials. 

You can invite them to Commons by hitting the “invite team” button, sharing your Commons links, or inviting them to meetings you set up within the Commons app. You’ll also be able to ping team members in Slack from Commons and start Commons interactions directly within Slack. 

Designed for distributed work environments and ideal for quick and informal meetings and conversations, Commons provides features that make team communication and collaboration smooth and seamless. Team members can solve urgent or complex issues, coordinate for project or product launchings, and engage in post-meeting conversations in real-time.

Commons eliminates the complexities and formalities you often deal with when conducting meetings using popular collaboration tools like  Slack and Zoom.
