Easy Deployment

The remote desktop solution can be easily deployed onto all the computers users wish to remotely access and manage. All they need to do is to follow some simple steps in order for them to set up the computers for remote access. The first step requires them to create a deployment package on my.splashtop.com.

The deployment package is comprised of the Splashtop streamer installer (Splashtop streamer is a software that needs to be installed and run on a computer that users want to remotely access)  and a unique 12-digit code. The package also consists of settings for the Splashtop streamer that can be customized. This includes computer name, security and privacy settings, and auto-launch options for the streamer.

Once a deployment package is created, the next step is the installation of the streamer onto the computers. Splashtop offers two ways so clients can have the streamer installed on their computers. They can install or run the streamer on their own, or have users install it automatically onto a group of computers. By permitting users to share a link to the deployment package with their clients, clients will be able to download the streamer installer and enter the 12-digit code to install the streamer.

Users can also download the streamer installer on their own, and share it with their clients via Dropbox or email. With this option, the deployment code is embedded on the streamer installer file, allowing clients to save time as they will be able to run the software without the need of entering the 12-digit code manually into the streamer. Meanwhile, to automatically deploy and install the streamer to a group of  Windows or Mac computers, users have to do it via command-line. Lastly, after the streamer is successfully installed and run, the computers can now be remotely accessed.

Attended And Unattended Remote Support

With Splashtop, users can deliver both attended and unattended remote support to their clients’ computers and servers. Attended remote access and support means computers and servers are managed remotely in the presence of clients or their employees at the other end. On the other hand, unattended remote access and support lets users manage the computers and servers of their clients even when they are not in front of their computers.

The software permits easy and quick reselling of remote access to any end users. The software makes users invite other people using its portal, and Splashtop automatically sends emails containing set up and login instructions to them.
